Berlin: The Michelberger

In East Berlin, there exists a portal to Silverlake - it is called The Michelberger Hotel.  It is cool, full of hipsters, friendly staff, and in the greatest part of Berlin - East Berlin.  The east part of the city is full of culture, street art (aka graffiti to Americans), culinary feasts, and interesting people.  As much as the west is sterile, the east is soulful.
