Berlin: Interesting Sites

Here are some of our favorite (and interesting) spots in Berlin.
{ Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe }
{ New National Gallery }
{ Film Museum of Berlin - Hall of Mirrors}
{ U-Bahn Station }

Berlin: Dinner in Friedrichshain

Dinner in this neighborhood was fabulous.  Friedrichshain is a truly bohemian neighborhood, that prides itself in the fact that it is not overrun by yuppies. This is where you find one of a kind shops, eateries, and residences. And, yes, we had to get artsy with out photographs especially for this post.

Berlin: Street Art

Street art greets us every block, every doorway, and every corner. The community embraces the history of the Wall and expresses its talents on blank canvasses throughout the city.

Berlin: The Michelberger

In East Berlin, there exists a portal to Silverlake - it is called The Michelberger Hotel.  It is cool, full of hipsters, friendly staff, and in the greatest part of Berlin - East Berlin.  The east part of the city is full of culture, street art (aka graffiti to Americans), culinary feasts, and interesting people.  As much as the west is sterile, the east is soulful.

{ Good Evening - plush lounge greets us nightly }
